1. Do you guys accept OHIP and/or health Insurance?
Unfortunately, OHIP does not cover the cost of acupuncture, massage, or chiropractic treatments. However, most major insurance providers do. We accept workplace insurances such as claim secure depending on your provider and your plan. For more information on the extent of your coverage please check in with your insurance company to make sure you are covered for various treatments we provide at our clinic. 2. How many treatments do I need? The total number of treatments required varies from person to person and depends on the condition of the illness. For acute symptoms, most patients will see improvements after just 1 to 2 treatments. For chronic conditions, more treatments may be needed. During your first visit, we will sit down and assess the state of your health and determine the appropriate number of treatments you need to resolve your condition. 3. Why Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine? The theory behind Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is to restore the imbalance of Qi from a state of disruption and obstruction as a result of poor lifestyle, injuries, or disease back to a state of balance. Acupuncture is drug-free, minimally invasive way of providing relief for patients who experience chronic pain and on-going disorders. Studies have shown, when certain points of the body are stimulated during an acupuncture treatment, it allows the body to release certain chemicals which aids in the healing process. 4. What kinds of payment methods do you guys accept? We accept cash and debit. 5. Is your facility handicap friendly? Unfortunately, we do not have wheelchair access at our Richmond Hill facility. However, we do provide spacious park space on site for people looking for handicapped parking. Our washroom facility is also gender neutral, if you require assistance please consult with our acupuncturist on site. |
